This is Ogunquit beach in the summer from several years ago. The subtitle is a Norwegian expression that means to enjoy oneself doing something fun. The original title was “My sister eats matpakke on the beach” (but she’s not eating Norwegian brown cheese). Instead, I chose a name that was suitable for the summer season.
Dette er stranden i Ogunquit, Maine, for flere år siden. Det originale navnet var «Min søster spiser matpakke på stranden» (men hun spiser ikke brunost). Istedenfor valgte jeg å benevne det etter et norsk uttrykk som passer til årstiden.
Chelsea E. Dill has always been interested in art since childhood and was often found with a paintbrush in her hand. After years of filling sketchbooks with drawings, Chelsea ventured into painting, especially having come from a family of artists. Primarily self-taught, Chelsea works in acrylic paint and her artwork has been featured in several local art shows. She enjoys painting maritime scenes and is always inspired from the incredible places from her travels. In addition to painting, Chelsea enjoys knitting, particularly garments with traditional Nordic motifs. She is also greatly interested in Norway and speaks fluent Norwegian.
