Usually the frame is an after statement but this time it is an integral piece of the work. Pretend you are looking out a window and you see a schooner sailing by. This was a real schooner I saw in Newport, Rhode Island. This is part of the Seilglede series. Seilglede is the Norwegian word which loosely translates to the joy you feel when sailing.

Chelsea E. Dill has always been interested in art since childhood and was often found with a paintbrush in her hand. After years of filling sketchbooks with drawings, Chelsea ventured into painting, especially having come from a family of artists. Primarily self-taught, Chelsea works in acrylic paint and her artwork has been featured in several local art shows. She enjoys painting maritime scenes and is always inspired from the incredible places from her travels.
