This is a view of the Boston seaport district with a color scheme that was inspired by the set of buildings in Oslo, Norway, called Barcode. Barcode is comprised of buildings that sometimes have a beautiful silvery-blue appearance. I tried to capture a similar color scheme in this painting by bringing the blue palette all the way through the harbor, including the boats and the sky.
You can see iridescent silver and blue tones that shine when viewing the painting from different angles.

Chelsea E. Dill has always been interested in art since childhood and was often found with a paintbrush in her hand. After years of filling sketchbooks with drawings, Chelsea ventured into painting, especially having come from a family of artists.
